About Me
My love of plants began as a child with my grandma and my mom, whose influence shaped my lifelong passion. Spending time with grandma on the farm and mom in her lush backyard garden, I was surrounded by the beauty and complexity of nature. My favorite place was the herb garden, where I loved combining different leaves and flowers to create unique tasting herbal teas.
As I grew older, my curiosity deepened into study. I began learning about the energetics and traditional uses of plants, eventually becoming certified in herbology. That journey turned a childhood facination into a calling; to craft teas that honor both ancestral wisdom and the needs of modern life.
Today, I hand-blend my teas in small batches guided by intuition, flavor, and the subtle ways plants can support our well-being. Teas by Tao is my way of sharing the love that started in my family's gardens, one thoughtful cup at a time.
About Our Teas

At Teas by Tao, every blend is handcrafted with care using our own original recipes and only organic or wild-harvested ingredients. Quality is at the heart of what we do; especially in our selection of premium Japanese green teas.
We package our teas by weight, not volume, to ensure consistency and fairness. Because some ingredients are light and fluffy while others are rich and dense, the number of cups per package can vary. Likewise, your personal steeping style; whether you enjoy a strong brew or a delicate cup; makes a difference as well.
On average, our Try It size bag makes around 10 cups, while our 3-5 oz packages yield roughly 30 cups. Some blends may offer more, others a little less; it all comes down to the natural character of the ingredients.
Our Kabusecha green tea; a truly remarkable shade-grown, high-end tea; brews closer to 5 cups for the Try It size and about 20 cups for the 2.5 oz package.
